Except if you give it a widescreen resolution, or indeed anything BUT a 4:3 resolution, everything ends up stretched.
I can't believe there are so many people saying "WOW, IT LOOKS GREAT!".
I think I'll carry on running it at 1024x768 on my 1366x768 laptop. The highest resolution I can run it at with everything still the correct shape.
I know what You mean but try running wc3 at 1024x768 in 22' monitor.
You will see why is better to run wc3 in 1920x1080 and not 1024x768, it looks much better.

I did download it but when I tried to run it, it says invalid win32 application.. A little help please.. I'm using a windows 7 OS..
Here's another method - without extra tool:
*) press Windows-key + R
*) type in regedit.exe and click OK
*) go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video
*) change "resheight" and "reswidth" to your screen's specifications (can be found in control panel)
*) exit regedit.exe, start the game and enjoy!!!
